Recently took delivery of my E 150 after restoration.The van had sit for several years.
Van has auto alarm system that locks the van after two minutes. Initially the key fobs worked but had to be really close. After two or three weeks they stopped working I replaced the batteries in one fob with no result. Unable to use the fob to stop the alarm. Is there
a device that receives the signal and does it have a battery that could be down Don’t know what to do. Sis there a way to easily disconnect the alarm system. We would prefer not to have it now.

This is not a characteristic of the factory alarm. Can you please post a picture of the key fob?

What year is the Van? My 06 Mustang has passive anti theft and auto sets in 10 minutes. But that wasn't available in 10 gen.
