Dumb question
I Have a 2wd 2000 f-150 and I dont plan on going offroading. Is there any reason for me to purchase skid plates? Theres a pair I can get for pretty cheap and Im wondering if it's worth the cost.

You answered your own question. You want to spend money, to get something that you wont see or use, and you'll just spend more money to haul the extra weight around in gas.
