Default Duel exhaust...

So im wanting to put duel exhaust on my 98 f150 XLT and i was wondering if you could just get one of those little 90 degree turn pips for the tip of the pipe pointing down toward the ground instead of having both tips comming out the side? Id really prefer it not be commin out the side i just dont like the look.

And should i do true duel glasspack exhaust or it go to a Y pipe? id like a little performance and it be loud... and legal im 17 and dont need no tickets! Any help would be awesome!

You can put duals on however you want. Out the side, back, 90 degrees, 45 degrees, down at the ground, up in the air...etc.

Any good shop can build whatever you'd like. Y pipe or true duals, doesn't matter. Y is cheaper. Glass packs suck in terms of mufflers. Actually, they blow. Haha. Pun intended.

There are minimal improvements to be made in regards to performance in changing your muffler, not noticeable so don't worry about that or factor it into your decision.

P.S. This is a duel:

I took off my old glass pack cuz it sounded ****ty. It does suck. I straight piped my single exhaust and it sounds aaaaamaaazing! People think it's dual exhaust but when they check I only got a single they get surprised. If you do dual exhaust , it will be loud if u straight pipe it so you will need a flow master or magnaflow and that's just more money. I have a 5.4 so straight pipe with my truck sounds nice and deep , not annoying. And a nice loud rumble when I rev the gas. But to top it off , get you a cold air intake and your good to go. But that's just my opinion. If u got the money then do dual exhaust.
