does the duel out make it louder than if you just had a si/so or is it more of a looks thing?

Mostly looks. Duals may make it slightly louder.

K in my opinion its not any louder than a single. In a single you have 100% of sound coming out. in duals you split that in half so 50% to one pipe and 50% to the other pipe. So it's like a surround sound system. You got noise coming from more area around the truck so it sounds louder. Now it might be deeper sounding than a single but as far has which one is louder I'd they there the same. But that's my opinion.
