Default Drives in reverse only

Hello everyone! So I’m having issues with my 2002 F150 4.7 L V8. It drives in reverse but won’t drive forward. I have changed out the transmission filter and output speed sensor and that didn’t seem to work. Was wondering if anyone had had this problem or have a fix?

Sounds like it needs rebuilt.

It just sits there and revs but doesn’t move. I was hoping it didn’t need rebuilt hahaha

Just do a search for 'f150 transmission not engaging in forward gears.' Some videos out there explaining the problems. Sounds like a rebuild is in your future.

You could dig a little deeper if you're up to it. Transmission shift solenoids/valve body could be dirty or malfunctioning. The forward gear clutch band or clutch servo may be broken as well.. or out of adjustment.
