2000 f150 4x4 4door locks click and try to come up but dont, same with down, is it actuators? seems weird both same time

 

sounds like them

 

took panels off both sides, they look ok but they dont move rod at all, they click like supposed to, just no effprt to mover the rod, keys unlock just fine but i seen thats a diff rod

 

I was the team leader on a door latch and lock line for Delphi for over 5 years (we made some latches for Ford so don't shoot me) I also repaired them. I would understand if one actuator went bad but both at the same time sounds like something is up elsewhere. One may fail sure it happens but both.. No way.

 

well i guess i mis worded it, i just bought truck neither door works only by key, the keyless entry and the switch both click but no lock or unlock

 

my passenger side went out and then not long after my drivers side actuator went out, so it is possible. there not expensive so i would just replace both of them, since it sounds like thats your problem

 

U just did mind last month for 40 bucks. Look on ebay. And there not hard to do
