Default ******* with A/C on

I noticed yesterday on my way home how much of an impact my A/C has on the engine. I was trying to get up to highway speeds and it felt like I was towing a 2,000lbs trailer, I could do it, but it took a lot more skinny pedal and a bit longer. Sure enough, as soon as I shut off the A/C it was back to normal.

Now I know the A/C uses a good amount of power and ties directly to the engine, but is it really supposed to impact it that much?

Your compressor or compressor pully could be seizing up. That's my '02

Don't jinx it, if that compressor dies its not getting replaced.
