Default Differential upgrade to LSD

Has anyone upgraded a factory open diff to a LSD of some type. I was considering doing this and I was wondering how easy or hard it is. I was interested in the detroit truetrac. I have 8.8 inch not sure what ratio.

Ratio doesn't matter but the true trac is a good LS. How mechanically oriented are you?

I have been looking at this too even though I've only had this registered in the UK for a couple of weeks... lol

Being in the UK, it would probably be easier to import new rather than 2nd hand from a junk yard so any suggestions would be appreciated

Would there be any benefit of doing both axles at the same time or is just doing the rear normally enough?

I've got a factory LSD out of a 2001 Explorer (I have an 8.8 axle) that I am going to put in mine. It only had 60,000 miles. I got that and the gears for 90 dollars.
