You have more structural strength in the 97-98 SCab because of the solid left side. At least you wouldn't have a lot of give to it, if you were, say rolling down a hill. lol. At that point, I think'd I rather have the solid panel. JMO.

anyone have a write up for the bumper swap. After looking at the LMC catalog the brackets on my late 97 do not look the same as the 99+

All you need is the bumper brackets, bumper, bumper pad, valance, fog lights, and grille. They are a direct bolt on.

I'm thinking about swapping an 03 Expedition front onto a 98 F150. I was searching for info on doing a front end swap (bumper, valence, grill, etc) and came across this thread. Anyone know if it will work, and what would be required like bumper brackets, header panel, etc to mount the body parts?

I believe the 2001 had the open rear doors. The 2000 did not.
I really enjoyed my 2001 4x4 off Road, 3:73. 5.4.

My 2000 scab has rear open doors. I "think" that started in 99. And don't mention "no rust" that just makes me mad lol. Hell, my 2006 screw has the cab corners starting to rust through!
