Why do you need a new cover ?? your just changing the fluid right ?? and if so...you really don't need a gasket...clean both sides of the mating surface real good and use RTV.

... got it, thanks. i thought there was a gasket in there. whenever iv taken **** apart at work that has a gasket we always put a new one on. and when i saw they had chrome covers with gaskets... i was considering since it would look good.

I would just keep the stock, unless you get a good diff cover like a Solid, Riddler or a Blue Torch Fabworks.

I have a 99 and was told they dont even make a gasket for it. There is one that is the exact shape, but is actually to small.
