I have an '03 F150 5.4L and when I start it up the gauges are delayed for about one minute. This just started happening last week when I did an oil change on it. The truck will start up fine but the odo, oil gauge, fuel, and temp gauges are all delayed for around about 60 seconds. Occasionally the tachometer will hesitate to work too. Also, since this problem has occurred the performance of the truck sucks. When I speed up the dang truck doesn't want to shift properly which is killing me in gas mileage even more so than normal. Can anyone offer up some advice on how to rectify this issue without taking it to a shop to get bent over and screwed out of hundreds of dollars?
