Default defrost problems

well this morning i was going to school i started my truck turned the defrosters on and the cab filled with steam and i couldnt see a thing all the way to school and it smells like coolant when the heats on? whats wrong with my truck?

100% a leaking heater core. You have to pull the entire dash out to replace it too. If you're decent at working on cars and you get a manual you can tackle it, they're not that bad. Count on an entire saturday and if you're kind of slow some of sunday.

Oh probably $80 from the dealer. Check like advanceauto.com and rockauto.com and such, look around and you might find a better price.
