I've have a 2001 ford f-150 and my dash lights will not work and lights over by the heater and air cond. won't light up. WHY!

 

Fuse or headlight switch. That is where I would start. Fuses first then if not the fuse, then I'd check the switch. I'm betting on the fuse. You could have a load of burnt out bulbs, as it is 17 years old, but that is very doubtful that all would be out.

 

check the dimmer switch first.
