everything works, all the lights work. but you turn the key all the lights come on, but they don't stay on. say if i have the emergency brake on that light wont stay on, if i have cruise control on the cruise light doesnt show up. what could cause this>???

Start by checking all related fuses

 

all related fuses are good, still malfunctioning, like the switch isn't communicating with the light after the truck is started, but the lights come on with the key

 

Quick question: is it ONLY the cruise and brake light that do not illuminate when you use either of them? If thats the case, i may have an answer, if not, then im going to have to think of something else.
