Default Dash Fire!!Help!

So I cranked my truck today and I started hearing this whining sound coming from the panel vents I just sat there a minute and all of a sudden thick white smoke started rolling out from under the dash.I shut the key off and the smoke stopped.Anyone have any idea what it could be. The truck is a 1997 4.6l v8 F150.

If it was on the drivers side its sounds like it could be a GEM or Fuse box short. If it was on the passenger side it could be lots of things.

You got it Right. “Where there's Smoke there's Fire” is only an Idiom

If you can't find it. If you don't have a Fire Extinguisher Class ABC it's a good idea to buy one. Test it to be sure it's working. Remove the dash panel and Crank the engine again.
