Default Cylinder 1 no compression

Before I put in a new motor, is there any simple reasons I could have no compression on cylinder one. All other cylinders are between 160-180

Aren't you leaving out the horrible noises the engine was making and the oil on the ground? Considering those things, the short answer is no.
