So I got in an argument today with some guys that said ford owns Cummins and I told them the last I knew ford sold the shares they had in Cummins and wasn't sure if they bought any again or not. Also that Cummins is an independently owned company. So my question who's right does ford own Cummins or not.

 

Ford does not own Cummins.

 

That's what I said but you know how so people are

 

Ford never owned Cummins. Ford had bought shares years ago and Cummins bought them back shortly there after. They did however put Cummins engines in some of their bigger line Ford trucks.

 

Yeah the f650 and 750 medium duty had Cummins

 

Some 650 and 750 chassis caps still come with Cummins.
