Default Cruise control

I have a problem with my 1999 F150 Lariat not holding the cruise control. When it will set, which is not certain, it will kick off when I hit a bump in the highway.
I also have a problem with my automatic door locks locking at random times. Do not know if these are related. Any help would be appreciated! Could this be a computer problem?

i had the same problem on my ford and a few toyotas there is a sensor either on the master break cylinder or near the brake pad, this is a switch that tells the computer that you are braking and turn on Cruise control... (if you have a standard then you have one on the clutch as well) take a look at (both) of these sensors and see if one of them needs to be adjusted because they will back out on the rail that they can be adjusted on ... easy fix.. should take you 5 minutes to understand then 5 minutes to fix
