there is no fire at the spark plugs or the distributor ford f150 1997 4.2, the connector at the side of ditributor has 4 pins and only one of them shows 12 volts is that normal?

I am no sure what it could be. However I once had a problem with no start and it turned out to the computer. it was not bad but the connection was a little corroded. I clean it and then it was fine. Disconnect computer with a 10mm socket wrench. you do have to remove your battery. Then look at it. I had 1 a quarter of the connectors with a green build up. Good luck.
