Default crank position sensor?

I'm just wondering how hard of a job replacing this sensor would be, and if anybody has a write up for this because my truck recently as of yesterday started throwing a p0315 code right before I pulled into my driveway.

And would this sensor being bad also cause a p1000 code? Cause I have no idea what's causing this one.

The P1000 is the readiness monitors have not been set. If your running no rear cats an the rear oxygen sensors have been turned off i have never seen it go away. On the crank sensor you have to remove the belt, the four 10mm bolts that hold the ac compressor on, then you will have enougj room to pull the crank sensor out once you remove the bolt.

So since I have no rear cats and the rear o2s are turned off because of my tune that light will stay on? Because I thought if your had a tune to turn them off there would be no cel.

You should not get a CEL from a P1000. I have had one set for over 1 yr seince I did the PI swap and and deleted the IMRC. You will get the CEL from the crank sensor code tho.

Okay so I put a new sensor in yesterday morning and on my way home from work tonight my cel pops on again with the same code.

Any ideas of what else could cause this? Cause I don't feel like having to replace this sensor every other day.

Was this issue ever resolved? I just had the same code thrown yesterday and this is the only forum with any relevant info on it.
