Thumbs down could someone help?

Hi guys im new here! ive got an 04 f150 heritage that we've owned since new, i figured the 97-03 category would be a fair place to post. anyways I am trying to buy a programmer for the truck it has the 4.6. I recently bought the edge evo cs for it and the programmer worked as the guages but the performance tunes were totally not in the menu, after calling edge they sent me a brand new one and it did the same thing. So I sent them both back. Im figuring that the programmer reads the trucks vin and assumes the truck is an 04 with the 3v motor when in reality its basically an 03 with the 2v motor. My question is before i go and buy another programmer that i desperatly want do you guys know of one that will for sure work? Edge told me they had never heard of that problem ever before.

The only other brand I would suggest is SCT, but all you could do is call the company and ask them before you buy.

I'm sure someone on here has to have an 04 Heritage with a tuner.
