00 f150 5.4 2wd xlt odometer went bad and replaced it with one from the wrecker and mileage is about 13k less. What to do about that for CA dmv purposes. Thx

 

How did it go bad?

If the display just flickered out, that’s a well-known fix.

Otherwise, isn’t 25-years and older exempt? Heck, it looks like 10 and older in Cali.

 

I reflowed the joints a couple years ago. All guages and lights working. The odo display showed dash’s. I could even go into the odo codes stored on the odometer but it wasn’t sending ground to pcm which it needs for fuel pump. No not exempt from smog
