Default COOLANT resivor problems

I have a 98 half ton, with 147k miles on original motor... I am pretty sure that it has a head gasket blown, because their is white smoke coming out of the exhaust , which is condensation, and water, but also that nasty slime in valve cover....
The question is when the truck sit over night and I go to check the water level, when I take the cap off it still has pressure... Why is that any idea anyone????????

Oil dipstick. Check your oil for coolant or in your spark plug wells. Good indicator for bad gaskets.

No icky dip stick, the nasty sludge is in the valve cover when u take the cap off, and one of the spark plug sockets was rusted when we changed the spark plug wires..

Do a search for Milky brown under oil cap F150. It is a common thing and does not always indicate head gasket. Mine gets real bad once it gets cold out. Condensation. Caused by short trips and not getting the oil hot enough to evaporate the water.

You might get lucky!

Blown head gaskets normally make you run hot as well, or run real bad

Blown head gasket or cracked head will also preasurize the coolant

The coolant gets pressurized while it runs to 14-16 psi. Some pressure could also mean the system is holding pressure as it should.
