Is it possible to convert a 1997 XLT 3rd Door into a 4 door ? The one with suicide doors? I have not yet bought this truck, but I am on Sunday. I wanted a 4 door suicide with the 99-03 body, but couldn't find one for my budget. We are getting this 97 for $1400, It has the 4.6L Motor, auto trans. But it has a few minor issues, If you think this may be a bad buy let me know before I do something stupid, not really mechanically inclined.

Cons: Drivers window motor is out.
Does not blow cold air (Fella that owns it says it leaks) HEAT IS HOT!
Bad paint fading / scaring on drivers door / roof.
few small dings and dents, headliner messed up pretty bad, a few knicks in the seats... Odometer went out and has 244k miles on it as is now thou.

Converting to a 4 door seems nearly impossible if not it will be a lot of work and money to do so. As far as cosmetics of the truck they can be fixed for a decent price. Only thing i would worry about is the high mileage on the truck. If i were you id wait this one out and find somthing with less miles, even if its in worse cosmetic condition. Just my 2 cents!
