Default Common problems lifted trucks.

So I'm thinking of lifting my truck this summer. A 5-6 inch suspension lift and a 2inch body to get the running boards up. I have a 02 f150 fx4. Wondering what are some common problems that can occur with these mods?

Well that all depends. If they are installed the right way and all bolts are retorqued as recommended by the manufacturer then you really shouldn't have any problems. If you use a zone lift and don't have to torque your torsion bars at all you will maintain most of your factory ride quality.

Main problem with lifts that can get people hurt----1 stupid moment. If you take your time and do everything correctly like stated above, the the only thing that might go wrong more often than not is driver error. Keep in mind that when you lift, your center of gravity will go up. I know a few people around here that thought they could drive like before the lift. Most of them have had an incident/wreck with said vehicle. Nobody was ever seriously hurt, but they were all expensive.

Oh, and don't cheap out. Do your research on which ever lift you decide and check out the reviews. Not just on forums, but everywhere you can.
