I have the opprotunity to buy a chrome air intake (the brand) from a guy for $40. I know it's a cheaper brand but is it still worth it?

97 f150 4.6

Yes then get a k&n filter to put on the end. But only if the kit has a heat shield, if it doesn't have the heat shield it's useless because you're sucking hot air.

It comes with a washable lifetime filter that looks and appears to be just like a K&N, I have a heat shield made out of diamond plate off of my last truck would that work?
