Default Coil spring

Has anyone replaced the stock coil spring with the hd one? Just thinking it would make the front end too stiff but wanted to know if anyone has done this.

I replaced mine with a rough country one. It is stiff but my truck is leveled.

Are you trying to lift or level your truck? I just bought a Daystar 1.5" leveling kit that is just coil spacers that go on top of the factory spring and raise the front end up. I was able to use factory length shocks and it only stiffen the ride a tad but nothing unbearable in my opinion.

Front springs are weak and the truck pitches when you turn. I was just wondering if anyone had put the hd spring in and how it rode. I suppose after 15 years it might be time for some springs. Think I will be going with the moog replacement spring if ford does not want too much for theirs. Thanks for the input.

It'll happen springs are softened over time due to the weight of the truck I wouldn't buy HD springs the spring will be longer it may level out your truck but will also stiffen the ride I would just get factory springs from ford. No need for anything upgraded unless you are looking to lift/level
