Default coil over plug upgrade

I just did an engine swap on a 1999 f150. The old engine was a 4.6 with the coil and plug wire model and the new engine has the coil over plug. I have the wiring harness from the 5.4 and I am wondering if I should use the coil over plugs with this harness or go back to the old coil with plug wires. The engine came from a 2001 F150 and is a two valve engine. If I dont have the 5.4 pcm, is this a lost cause?

You don't have the COP drivers so, it must remain coil pack. There's no performance advantage running a COP ignition anyway.

If I had the PCM would it make a difference?

Well, if your looking for problems, that's one good way to find some...and you will no doubt.

I would just run the 4.6 electronics and be done. You'll find no performance gains....
