can brakefluid beusedtoclean themafsensor and aired out before reinstalling?

NO NO NO NO NO, please dont do it. It can leave behind a corrosive residue on the wire and it will never read right. Save yourself $150 by spending $6 to get some MAF cleaner at autozone.

NEVER use brake fluid as a cleaner. It will kill your MAF for sure. Ever see what it does to paint? Thnk about all those delicate little parts in the MAF!!!!

Default A Gentle Touch:

Use an aerosol electronic component cleaning agent and a camels' hair brush....and be very careful.

do NOT use that stuff man....i agree with 03FX4...buy the MAF cleaner @ O-Reilly's man and save yourself the heartache of having to buy a replacement part..

I used the MAF cleaner and it works just fine...no issues.
