ive never heard an f150 with glasspacks, but ive heard plenty of other trucks with them. im all for loud trucks, but i very rarely have ever heard anything with glasspacks i like the least bit. soud either way too poppy, or just bad. most of the time, not all the time. i have a SI/DO cherry bomb extreme on mine right now, and its definitely the best sounding truck in town(in my opinion of course), and i get a lot of compliments on it. its a lot louder than my friends with flowmasters, and it sounds awesome whenever youre accelerating. when its idling in the driveway in the mornings i can hear it in any room of the house easy. id definitely go with the extreme. and i also have my rear cats cut off.

I LOVE my cherry bomb extreme. Definately a loud DEEP tone. Nothing around here sounds like it. I also have hi-flo cats though, which helped with the sound quite a bit. Heres some pics of my system:

If you are worried about gas milage I wouldn t worry too much.. If you already have super 44 s on the truck the CB extreme is just a way shorter version. I had one of these extreme mufflers, and it is pretty much a square box with a wing plate divider inside. Although I never installed it on my truck because I went with true duals.
In my opinion any exhaust mods will improve gas mileage, but dončt forget to help out the intake side as well
I ran hi flow magnaflow cats (no more O.E. converters) into 4 inch round 24 inch long
louvered glass packs out the corners of the bumper. Loudest ford in my town ;-)

i didnt notice a change in gas mileage. and yeah, mine is definitely the deepest sounding truck around. one of a kind sound too, whenever im driving around everyone says they know when its my truck even if they never see it.
