ok a while ago my egr tube rusted off the nipple
well my dad had a guy weld over the whole and get rid of the egr
well my check engine light came on
it ran real bad after that happened
well today i had a new manifold put on as well as an egr tube
today on my way home from school and a few times prior to today my check engine light starting blinking on and off
why? what causes it to blink?
and now that everythings new shouldnt the engine light go off?
or do i have to drive it this way first until it tells the computer thats its fine or is there another problem

the check engine light is blinking because you have a catalyst damaging misfire. you should get the codes read to see what problem the computer is seeing

 

before i got the egr tube put on i had it read and it said egr insufficient flow
but i have the egr now so idk
