Default check engine code

engine runs fine but when cold weather comes and it idles for a short period of time the check engine light comes on usually a generic code bank to lean or something went all thru spring and summer months no problem does seem to have a somewhat uneven fast idle but nothing drastic

P071/P074 are those infamous lean codes. Faster idle is one of the symptoms - and effects, as the PCM throws in more fuel to compensate for the lean mix. Check for vacuum leaks (plenty of threads on that here), and clean, with dedicated cleaners, the MAF, Throttle Body, and IAC. Don't use generic carb cleaner. Bad for these sensors. Disconnect the battery after doing these, and that might clear it. (Lean codes usually get stored as "pending" for 20 ignition cycles before throwing a CEL. Misfires would most likely throw a CEL immediately).
