... and now you're drawing in hot underhood air, and reducing your engine's performance. Good job!

Curious as to why you thought this was a good idea.

It's been a while, haven't done a whole lot.
Got my OBA fully functional along with a happy red button.

Set of Hadley Air Horns pulled from an RV Salvage lot. Have a nice deep tone.

And removed the non-functional third brake light to add 2 18w reverse floods.

What was the purpose, more air or are you into sucking sounds ?

ROFL You converted your CAI into a Hoover lol. Hey, the engine compartment won't get as dusty, hope you don't travel many dirt roads.....you going go through filters. Might want make absolutely sure you have a good seal on that filter and most definitely use a quality element. I can promise you 100%, you will smoke an engine right quick if the filter isn't sealed well....in as little as 20 minutes under the right conditions. One dry dusty dirt road WILL do it in. Yea there's a good reason why filters are compartmentalized.

A GOTTS Mod is cheap in price and leaves you with more air on demand than you'll ever need.

Make this one a win without suffering that hard way lesson cost. Try something like this and stick with dry elements, -

I can't believe my eyes.....

X2 on Brew's statements. IF it works, you have a hot air filter now. That filter is already filthy. I've discarded cleaner filters than that.....

EDIT: Is this another UN for Skylar? SMH

Nice to see you're still makin' the mods. I haven't done much to mine lately, either, though FedEx did just deliver a couple of boxes recently.

A few questions:
1) Why not mount the horn(s) inside the frame rail? Less possibility of damage, and it/they won't be subjected to spash from the front tires. (Are they at least tilted downward somewhat for drainage?)
2) What is that piece running under the lights above the rear window? It looks a lot like the front "hinge" for my Extang Full-Tilt bed cover. And I assume the lights to either side are brake/turn lights?
3) Those floods will come on any time you put it in reverse? I think I'd want them lit only if I actually needed them. I wouldn't want to subject people in parking lots, etc. to them, but that's just me.

P.S. How old is that JCP CB?
