changing torsion keys?

Yeah that's where most of the build up was around the outside of lower control arms an inside of the arms. Keys had a good bit of build up too. I didn't want to put heat to it. Considering the pressure an everything.

sorry to hijack the post but seemed fitting for a question on the removal.. i went to do my keys tonight and MAN... are they stuck... i tried a pry bar, wd40 penetrating fluid..etc.... any ideas????? having 295 70 16 put on Saturday but still wanted to go up/ have 2 1/2 blocks and keys to match...

Aftermarket keys not worth it IMO. They will trash evreything in your suspension.

I had the same problem with my truck, no rust, no nothing, so we just un-bolted the cross members to slide everything out. My buddy had the same problem (01 F-150 I think), we used a wedge, a mallet, and about a gallon of WD-40. If you get get a wedge like they use for splitting wood, and a mallet with enough muscle you should be able to get it.

Funny thing is, I took my keys off to put on a leveling kit (bought the wrong keys, so never put it on), and they slid off easy. I don't know if I put them on wrong or what, but when we did my lift kit we couldn't them off. I didn't think of the wedge idea at that time, maybe I'll play with that when I get REALLY bored.
