Default Changed Battery Now Tons of Problems

Alright so I changed the battery in my '97 f150, because the old one died due to recent cold weather. Well now we have some problems. The Speedometer, odometer and tripmeter don't work at all. The check engine light has come on and stayed on. The Overdrive light is flashing on and off. Please help, I have searched your forum and haven't been able to find any answers. If this problem has already been addressed please post me the link. Thank you.

Does the truck run fine? Possible alternator?

A few simple things to try if you have not already, disconected the battery for a few minutes then reconnect it, this will reset the computer. Also could check all your fuses.

if it is not the fuses go to autozone or a store like that and have them test your alternator

Kragen or O'reilly auto parts give free electricl tests so you can take it there and they will hopefully find the problem, does the battery have the same amount of power as the old one?
