CEL help!!
While jumping off a backhoe battery with my truck, it over heated while it was running around 1500 rpm's..... I know you thinking, what an idiot. I know, I didn't think I was running for that long but yea it was stupid. But when it over headed, my CEL came on (duh!), I let it cool down and know it's running the same temp as before. But my CEL was on and I read it with my computer and it said that it was in over temperature mode.. What is this mode? What could this error code mean/do? Please inform me with what you know. Thanks.

We all do stupid things, don't sweat it. I haven't seen that code or description before, but taking it for what its worth, verify if engine is running hot. If not, erase code and retest. If its a hard fault then go after the temp sender. Remember, there could be two temp senders, one for the gauge and one for the computer and emissions stuff.
