Default CD Problem

My CD player no longer reads the CD's that are in the cartridge. This happened a few years ago and but it happened pretty much over night.

Any suggestions on if there is a hookup problem? I dont wont to get a new head unit, it just annoys me having the CD player not work.

Also on a side note i accidentally broke the "5" button on my radio, is it possible to replace the buttons or is there no real way to get to them?

Thanks

I'll suggest the same thing I did in the other thread.. get a stock 6 disc in dash changer and be done with it. But then again, replacement cd changer units can be had for fairly cheap on ebay.
