Get an aftermarket head unit and be done with it

Ford head units especially the changers are only good for paper weights. They are flaming piles of ****

so you have to mess with the adapter's wiring? or is it just plugging an adapter into the truck's connector for the hu?

so. the connector snaps into the truck's wiring and you solder the adapter's wiring into the new head unit? then when you want stock take out the aftermarket one and unplug the adapter and plug the stock one back in?
