I have always wanted whips but I don't know how to mount them? I thought about tthe mount for the stake holes but I have bed rails so that won't work what have you guys ddone?

 

For CB I would recommend a roof mounted antenna as it will use the roof as a ground plane. I highly recommend Wilson antenna's. "Back in the Day" I had a Wilson 1000 mag mount on the roof and it worked well. You don't gain any advantage with a 102" whip over the quarter wave Wilson 1000. Mag mounts are easy to remove for car washes etc. If you want to drill and mount one, they also make a Wilson 1000 you can mount that way. If K40 still makes antenna's they were also pretty good antenna's, again roof mounted.

If you don't want one on the roof, the next best place is on the front quarter panel hood lip or behind the rear window (on a tool box etc) or mounted to the side of the bed rail.
