Default Catalityc Converter Question

Is it the same to be installed horizontally than being installed vertically? To my surprise the exhaust shop decided to do this... And i was like.. why? They say it's the same and that it wouldnt fit otherwise. What do you guys think??

Check draw to see what i mean.ill post picture later.

Ps. These catalytic are not round pipes. Its oval, and in one side its wider (horizontal means its more fat to the sides when viewed from top view) and it has a heat shield only on one side of it.

doesn't matter, as long as the inlet/outlet are welded properly i wouldn't worry about it.

Don't over think this

It's fairly common to save space which is at a premium under todays vehicles.

Here's a MagnaFlow performance exhaust for the F150.
