Default Can't figure out this problem...

I have an 03 F-150 4x4 Lariat with the super cab.

The truck just rolled over 190K. I'm the original owner.

No issues at all with the drive train of this truck! Been an outstanding vehicle!

Just recently, I've noticed if I start the truck cold, that when I start to drive there is a shutter here and there.. Can't place it in the transmission or the engine.. It's sort of like the transmission is slipping but it's also similar to the engine sputtering as well............

It only does this when the engine is cold. After it has warmed up to it's normal operating temp, the problem goes away and the truck runs great.

If I crank the truck up and let it idle up to normal operating temp, it runs fine!

I talked with a couple of service shops and they didn't have any answer other than to drop it off with them and they would drive it when the engine was cold and see if they could diagnose it....

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Clean the throttle body, IACV, and MAF. The ports in the throttle body for the IACV and such can get gummed up and cause symptoms like this.

I appreciate the replies!

Going to have it looked at soon. Also noticed my gas mileage is going to crap too... Since this problem started, I'm losing about 30-40 miles on a tank of gas...
