Can't connect to OBD2
I've got a 02 F150
Yesterday while on the highway my truck had what sounded like a rough shift followed by running really rough. Pulled off to the shoulder and shut it off. After a few minutes looking under the hood, not finding anything obviously wrong, i fired her back up and she was still running extremely rough. Got towed home and tried to check for any pending codes, the check engine light never came on. My scanner gets power from the obd2 port but says that it can't connect. Tried the scanner on 2 other cars and it works fine, it's previously connected to this truck just fine. Did some research on here and checked the fuse that controls the DLC/cig outlet and its fine. I swapped out the PCM relay for another relay and it still won't connect. I tried turning the key to ON while in neutral and still the same. I've seen people with a similar issue who also had dashes on the odometer instead of the mileage but mine still shows the correct mileage. I assume I can still start it, I can hear the fuel pump engage when i turn it ON but I don't want to start it incase I might cause more damage to the vehicle. I've done no recent repairs the past year besides oil change / tire rotation. I'm at a loss here, any help is appreciated
