How difficult is it to remove the cam covers to change out the gaskets on a 2v 5.4 in a 2001 f150 supercrew?

Looks like the driver side you need to remove the power steering reservoir, egr tube and the complete wiring harness.

Passenger looks like a bunch of wiring, vacuum and what I think is the pcm on the firewall.

Can it be done with the intake manifold in place?

 

I never realized just how wide this engine is and how much of an angle the heads are at on this block.

Definitely doesn't help.

The more I work on it, the more I miss my 302/5.0 in my mustang, lol.
