I am somewhat familiar with cams but really only on a variable-timed engine and only with attention to the high-end…I'm just curious and want to learn something…

on the flywheel - would you replace the clutch to? look into a lighter clutch plate as well, since youre there?

I would advise against this if you plan on towing anything … you really wont see any benefit to a lighter flywheel…sure you take off 10lbs of rotating mass from the drive line but it's a drop-in-the-bucket at the end of the day - think of all the other rotating mass items that rotate along the way…tires/wheels/brakes/axles/FD/drive-shaft/transfer-case/transmission gearing/clutch…so to think that 10lbs of rotating mass is going to make a huge difference, at the cost of drivability and longevity? I think you're barking up the wrong tree…

just my 2 cents - not trying to ruin your weekend...
