Calipers should I paint?
My Brembo Rotors won't be here till Monday, since I have time, I'm thinking about painting the new big calipers.
What says you? Color choices..
Ford Blue, Black, Gray or Arizona Gold maybe?
I imagine because of the wheels, the only time you'd see the calipers is if you were up close to them or when driving and there was enough light.

My Blue? I don't know what you mean. There is no blue on the truck right now. Did you mean the Tan trim/two tone color?

IDK, do you think that what ever paint you use will hold up to the heat? I don't think painting it the color of your truck would do much good beings that more than likely you would be the only one who knows. I think the beige would look kinda weird as well. Ford blue would jump out a lot, not sure it would look good though. There has been a lot of things people have done that I thought would look bad that look good lol. I personally would go black or gray if you paint them at all.

I'm thinking black or gray as well.
Me using Ford Blue to paint stuff on cars is an old habit. Hell I've never owned a Chevy engine that wasn't painted Ford Blue. 350's & 396's both look better in Ford Blue, lol.

I'd do them black. Hide or prohibit rust. Serves a purpose and will blend in nicely. I'm not the type for "loud" aka bright colored calipers. Looks even worse when the paint starts coming off.
I did my rotors recently and painted the non pad contact surfaces with black engine enamal, something else to consider doing.

Edit: are those the expedition calipers I saw you talking about in another post? Or the 7700 steel Pistons? Looking to do a brake upgrade when I need pads and want to go an oem route like this

These are the 7700's from RockAuto with Steel pistons. After I got to the autoparts store to pick up my order I decided not to get them. The Phenolic pistons had a steel piston trim ring glued on them and it just seemed too silly to trust.
These were a little more but not by much.
