Default Cabin air filter

Good day,
Can anyone help me find a retrofit kit to install a cabin air filter in a 2002 Expedition with 5.4 l. engine?
The number; F65Z-18D477AA

I travel a lot of gravel roads and this kit will help me install a filter.
Thanks a lot. Cor Van Pelt.

I know this is old and might not help anyone but having this info would have saved me a lot of time. I needed this kit for a '98 F150 I just picked up (son has bad allergies) and started to think how I'd go about finding it. Well I googled largest ford dealer in USA. Sure enough it brings up Lone Star Ford (go figure). While they didn't have the part they are part of the Sonic dealership group and they were able to search other dealer's parts inventory. He found one for me in S Dakota. Called that dealer and it's on the way to me today. Parts are all over the place at dealers. You just might have to make some calls.

Check the bottom of the glove compartment trim... Not all models have cabin filter. If your truck is not equip with filter just get an Air Ionizer..

You're right. Not all trucks have cabin air filters. But I believe all of them had the option have one installed at the dealer. All it takes is the kit and some cutting of plastic. I know some people have done this even without the kit. But I chose to go this route.

Yeah you don't even need the kit. Just cut the indented plastic opening out and slide a cabin filter up into the space, you can pick one up on amazon for $10-15. It's a real pain in the *** to lay on your back and cut the plastic out though, it's really tight down there

1. My '06 has no "indented opening".

2. After watching a couple videos on you-tube, and spending several hours disassembling the passenger dash and HVAC stuff, I can not see how this filter mod will install. Maybe if I saw a factory/dealer kit in place it would help.

Well since you have an '06, it would be totally diffeent that what is posted about in this article about '97-03 models.

Hop over to the 11th gen forum and maybe they could help you there.
