Default Cab clearance lights

Super duty style roof lights is what I'm talking about.

The search feature isn't working right so yeah.. (direct me if one is already here.)

How would one go about putting on these lights and where could I find these. Jcwhitey I think has them but I'm not sure if these work.

Check out www.gorecon.com

They have LED (once you start putting LEDs on your vehicle you'll never put incandescent lighting back on) running lights for GM (the middle 3-lights are a one piece bar), Ford (LED versions of what you'd find on SD trucks), and Dodge (direct replacement for Ford lights but a lower profile). You can get them with smoked, clear, or yellow lenses.

I'm thinking about putting a set on my 02. I was thinking about the GM ones just because it's less work I have to do on the install when it comes to setting the lights.

Those jc whitney lights are simply lense replacements for factory clearence lights, not a complete kit.

The recon kit is an easy install with a wiring harness...

Lay down blue painters tape and measure for center then evenly outward marking centers for the remaining lights on either side... (make sure your in the right place, pull a-pillar covers and droop the headliner making sure your not drilling through the roof bracing)

Then mark the mounting holes for each light (each light needs three holes) and start drillin the 15 holes in your roof...

Pull the tape, run the wiring (at this time plug in all the lights and make sure they all work, the recons harnesses may require a slight bend on the contacts) bed the lights in black silicone rtv, screw em down and wire em up... I tapped the parking lights wiring, also I put a nice clean bead of black rtv around the lights after seating them for a double sure seal...

About a 40 min job, I've done it a handful of times...

You tap the internal parking light wire that comes off the switch or and external wire?
