Default A/C power loss

Hey everybody, I have a 1999 5.4, and I think it losses power with the A/C on now that it's hot out, but I also believe that it could just be me being hyper sensitive, so what do you think? How much horse power do you think it loses?

Yep it does. That's with every car though, when the A/C is turned on it turns on a compressor that takes some power from engine. I would guess we loose about 15 horsepower or so when the A/C's on. It's definitely a noticeable loss in power your not being hypersensitive.

Mine does to. Bad to the point were I just choose to sweat with the windows down. But in my 13 z71 I can't tell a difference in power with ac on or off and the same with my 06 f 250 I had. My f150 is the only one I've had with a noticeable power loss do to a/c.
