Unhappy A/C condenser bypass?

I was wondering if I could take the belt off my a/c condenser . The pulley seems a bit wobbly and I think the bearings are shot. Will the tensioner pulley take up the slack? I have a 97 2wd. I believe that the condensor is on the bottom of the motor passenger side and has rubber covers on 3 screws. Can someone please correct me if needed? also would i need a different belt? anyone...anyone...anyone.....thx!

That's a compressor, not a condenser. The condenser is the large coil that sets in front of your radiator.

Why not put a new bearing in the compressor??? It's a $20 fix.

Default a/c compressor

thanks! I changed the plate on the compressor because 2 of the 3 rubber bushing screw cover were missing and i noticed that the bearings were still in , but the plastic retaining ring was missing some "fingers" thats the best way i cud descibe it. Can i get the bearing at an auto parts store? and is it an easy change? any tips?

Not too hard to replace the pulley. I'd put a new clutch disc in as well.
