Default burnt rod bearing?

Hi,
I own a 2001 F150 with a 5.4 l engine. Sept 1, 2018, I was driving it on the Interstate and it just died. Luckily, I was at a place where I could easily pull over.

It had been making noise for months starting about 2000 rpm. So, I just drove it under that as much as possible. It has been parked at a friend's house since then.
I would like to fix it. I would like to use it.

I have been operating under the assumption that I've "blown" my engine. I've been trying to save money to get it fixed.
I have not posted anything on this forum, but at this point, I'd like to give it a try.

I made a video a while back, and would like to see if anyone can give some insight after hearing the noise.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Pat

It turns out that I asked this same question in September, 2018. I can't see a way to delete it. Sorry.

The 2V doesn't have cam phasers. That's a 3V mitsfu.

Ok, I'm not familiar with the 5.4 but I am familiar with that noise which sounds exactly like cam phasers. So what's mifsfu?

It has the symptoms of piston slap.... BUT, it is a lot louder than I have ever heard before.

Is it louder on one side or the other? What does the right side sound like around the PCV valve? Can you post a video from the right side with sound? It could be there or even carbon on top of a piston hitting a valve.

akdoggie: I will post a video as soon as I can. From the right side .

river1: Your video sounds like mine, except mine is WAY louder.
